The east side classic is a fund raising vintage motorcycle and scooter rally supporting the Austin Pets Alive no-kill animal shelter. This will be the 3nd Annual event held on June 17th, and as always, the event is free to all. The rally will be located at The Yellow Jacket Social Club, 1704 E 5th St. The AWSOME folks at The yellow Jacket are letting us take over the joint, and on top of that, they're setting up some food and drink specials as well.
Plenty of motorcycle parking and places to get a drink or a bite to eat. You'r e welcome to come just to hang out under the shade and ALL bikes are welcome!
This years event will include:
- Ride Up Bike Show + Enter your bike in the show for a chance to win a prize, trophy and bragging rights for a measly $10 donation to Austin Pets Alive. Categories include: Best American stock, Best American modified, Best Euro stock, Best Euro modified, Best Japanese stock, Best Japanese modified, Best Scooter, Best Cafe Racer, Best of Show.
- The unvailing of the 650cc twin drag bikes + Two of our favorite local vintage moto shops have been secretly working on 650cc twin drag bikes of the vitage variety. Limey Bikes and Deathtrap will be unvailing the two bikes at the East Side Classic in preporation for their forthcoming quarter mile drag battle. Japanese vs English, who will come out on top!
- Dunk your Mechanic! + Dunk your mechanic at our dunk tank, 3 throws for 10 bucks! This will be the only opportunity to see most of these guys in shorts so take advantage and help out a charity at the same time.
- Moto Photo Booth + Have a professional photo taken of you and your bike. After the show, download the picture off our website. Helmet hair in high res.
- Buy raffle tickets at $3 a pop or 2 for $5 for your best chance to win some great prizes. It ain't the Texas lotto but your odds at winning are a lot better.
- Silent Auction + Motorcycle/Austin/Pet related art by local artists will be availible for auction. Time to fill those empty walls with art that we can all appreciate.
- Expect to find cool local Austin vendors, great music and plenty of eye candy.

Q. What time does The East Side Classic start? A. 2:00 p.m. and ends at 8:00 p.m.
Q. Where is The East Side Classic? A. The East side Classic is on 6th street just east of i35 at The Yellow Jacket Social Club, 1704 E 5th St!
Q. Are you guy's going to have some East Side Classic T-Shirts for sale this year? I'm still pissed that I couldn't get one last year... A. YES! They'll be on sale the day of the event. Plus, we'll have patches that you can have sewn on right after you buy them.
Q. Where do I park/enter? A. Motorcycle parking only at the East side Classic, everything else has to fend for itself on the streets around the The Yellow Jacket. Basically, you and your bike being there IS half the show. If your bike doesn't fit in the lot, please out on the streets surrounding the East side Classic. That makes for an easy organized group of bikes to look at.
And if you feel like your bike needs special consideration or extra space, do yourself (and us) a favor and put it in the Show (lots of attention and lots of room) . If you enter your bike into the Official Bike Show (cost=$10), you get to park in the center of the event. Also, that $10 goes directly to Austin Pets Alive so it's a bit of a no brainer.
Q. How can I be a total chach / douche / buzzkill? A. Do a burnout or speed around the East Side Classic. This will not get you laid, but it will get you kicked out. Someone is gonna get hurt, and that will be the end of The East Side Classic. For good. No joke. Do it away from the event, please.
